Annular Ring Size

Minimum Size

The absolute minimum annular ring size is 6 thou but it is recommended that designers use a 10 thou annular ring size. This will improve yields and lower the cost of manufacture.

Multilayer

For all multilayer boards the minimum annular ring for internal pads is 10 thou, this is due to process limitations and to ensure internal break-out does not occur.
